Yesterday Mr. Harrison gave me the feedback back for my edit for the music video.
I have done my edit for the music video because I just wanted to practice my skills and to see what I can do.
However, we are using Abby's editing because we swapped roles this year and I did most of the camerawork. Even though we are using Abby's editing, we can use my feedback on my editing to assess Abby's editing as well and so she would not do the same mistake as me.
So Mr. Harrison have gave feedback such as...
- try to use jump cuts so the music video is more lively and not to long and boring.
- try to see whether I need to link the story or not, or how can I can link the different parts up
- try to see if I need to film another performance shot, where Abby is looking at the camera.
- try to make lighting the same or not as contrast.
I felt that these feedbacks are very useful and Abby and I we both helped each other to see what we can do to improve our music video. Abby did the majority of the editing, but I have looked out for her to see what techniques or tools that she could use to make the music video entice audiences more.
